Differentially expressed LncRNAs and mRNA identified by SEQ analysis in colorectal cancer patients

(Submitter supplied) LncRNA plays an important role in gene regulation, but its impact on the pathogenesis of colorectal cancer and the biological function of cancer cells is unclear. In this study, we will use the next generation sequencing technique to study the differences of the expression profiles of lncRNA and mRNA in colorectal cancer tissues, analyzing the differentially expressed genes by GO/KEGG enrichment, and predicting the new lncRNAs’ function. more...

(Submitter supplied) We performed a genome-wide analysis of lncRNA expression to identify novel targets for the further study of liver metastasis in CRC. Samples obtained from CRC patients were analyzed using Arraystar human 8×60K lncRNA/mRNA v3.0 microarrays chips to find differentially expressed lncRNAs and mRNAs; The results were confirmed by quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). The differentially expressed lncRNAs and mRNAs were identified through fold-change filtering. more...

Genome-wide analysis of long noncoding RNA expression profile in colorectal cancer

(Submitter supplied) Human colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common cancer in the world.Recent studies have shown that long non-coding (lncRNA) plays critical roles in a myriad of biological processes and human diseases,Since the roles of lncRNA in CRC remain largely unknown, they were investigated in the study. Our findings indicate that the expression profiles of lncRNAs has changed in CRC as compared with adjacent non-tumor samples, and may provide novel insight into the molecular mechanism underlying the disease and potential novel diagnostic or therapeutic targets for CRC.

Expression profiling of lncRNAs, miRNAs and mRNAs and their differential expression in leiomyoma using next generation RNA sequencing

(Submitter supplied) Total RNA was isolated from leiomyoma and paired myometrium (N=8) and samples from three pairs were subjected to RNA sequencing. After analysis, 5941 lncRNAs (2813 up- and 3128 down-regulated at ≥1.5 fold), 148 miRNAs (56 up- and 96 down-regulated at ≥1.5 fold) and 3855 mRNAs (2030 up- and 1855 down-regulated at ≥1.5 fold) were differentially expressed in leiomyomas. Using QRT-PCR we further confirmed the expression of HULC, lnc-MEG3, LINC00890, TSIX, LINC00473, lnc-KLF9-1 and lnc-POTEM-3 (lncRNA-ATB) in leiomyoma and matched myometrium (N=8). more...

Systematic identification and comparison of expressed profiles of lncRNAs and circRNAs in male and female germline stem cells

(Submitter supplied) Male and female germline stem cells are critical for passing genetic information from generation to generation. Accumulating evidences indicate that long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) and circular RNAs (circRNAs) play important roles in self-renewal and differentiation of germline stem cells. However, the mechanisms remain largely unknown. In this study, we explored the mRNAs, lncRNAs and circRNAs expression profiles of male and female germline stem cells through high-throughput sequencing.

Comparison of long non-coding RNA expression profiles in human periodontal tissue cells

(Submitter supplied) Human dental follicle cells (hDFCs) are precursor cells of periodontal development. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been revealed to be crucial factors that regulate a variety of biological processes; however, whether lncRNAs serve a role in human periodontal development remains unknown. Therefore, the present study used microarrays to detect the differentially expressed lncRNAs and mRNAs between hDFCs and human periodontal ligament cells (hPDLCs). more...

long noncoding RNAs expression in mature and immature dendritic cells-derived exosomes

(Submitter supplied) Dendritic cells release bioactive exosomes that are involved in immune regulation. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been demonstrated to be implicated in many immunoregulatory mechanisms. However, the roles of lncRNAs in dendritic cells-derived exosomes remain unknown. To investigate the roles of lncRNAs in mature and immature dendritic cells-derived exosomes and find specific lncRNAs with immunoregulatory function, this study showed the expression profiles of lncRNAs in bone marrow dendritic cells-derived exosomes from C57 mice.

Transcriptional Profiling of Lumbar Spinal Cord in a Rat Model of Bone Cancer Pain

(Submitter supplied) Bone cancer pain (BCP), in which the majority is caused by metastasis from other cancer sites, is the most common type of chronic cancer pain. Bone cancer pain is developed accompanied by changes of numerous genes expression, from peripheral to central nervous system, which may account for this dysfunctional nociceptive perception. Although the pivotal role of lncRNA in neuropathic pain are well acknowledged, the involvement of lncRNA in bone cancer pain development are remain to be clarified. more...

Long noncoding RNAs expression profiles in granulosa of woman with diminished ovarian reserve based on high-throughput sequencing

(Submitter supplied) Background: Infertility is one of the major health problems and the third most common disease, and diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) is a common cause of infertility. DOR is defined as decreased number or quality of oocytes in reproductive-age women, but the underlying molecular mechanisms remain unclear. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) has been recognized to play an important role in physiological and pathological processes of the human body, but it is unknown whether lncRNAs are involved in the development of DOR. more...
