GI is a repressor of ABA transcriptional responses and sensitivity in Arabidopsis

(Submitter supplied) Transcriptional reprogramming plays a key role in drought stress responses, preceding the onset of morphological and physiological adaptations. The best characterised signal regulating gene expression in response to drought is the phytohormone abscisic acid (ABA). ABA-regulated gene expression, biosynthesis and signalling are highly organised in a diurnal cycle, so that ABA-regulated physiological traits occur at the appropriate time of the day. more...

Transcriptome analysis of p35S:AtBBD1 and atbbd1 (Knock-out) under PEG-induced drought stress condition

(Submitter supplied) We sequenced mRNA of WT, p35S:AtBBD1 (OX) and atbbd1 (KO) plants. Plants were grown in soil for three weeks at 23 ℃ with 60% relative humidity. mRNA was isolated 6 hours after threating with 20% PEG.

CDK8 is associated with RAP2.6 and SnRK2.6 and positively modulates abscisic acid signaling and drought response in Arabidopsis

(Submitter supplied) CDK8 is a key subunit of Mediator complex, a large multiprotein complex that is a fundamental part of the conserved eukaryotic transcriptional machinery. However, the biological functions of CDK8 in plant abiotic stress responses remain largely unexplored. Here, we demonstrated CDK8 as a critical regulator in the abscisic acid (ABA) signaling and drought response pathways in Arabidopsis. Compared to wild-type, cdk8 mutants showed reduced sensitivity to ABA, impaired stomatal apertures and hypersensitivity to drought stress. more...

Expression data from wild type (No-0) and fbs1-1 insertion line whole Arabidopsis seedlings in cold

(Submitter supplied) The ubiquitin 26S proteasome system (UPS) selectively degrades cellular proteins, which results in physiological changes to eukaryotic cells. F-box proteins are substrate adaptors acting within the UPS and are responsible for the diversity of potential protein targets. Plant genomes are enriched in F-box genes, but the vast majority of these have unknown roles. This work investigated the Arabidopsis F-box gene F-BOX STRESS INDUCED 1 (FBS1) by identifying differentially expressed genes between wild type (No-0) and an fbs1 insertion line. more...

Expression data of HSFA6b-overexpression and HSFA6b dominant-negative mutant lines of Arabidopsis after NaCl or Heat shock treatment

(Submitter supplied) In order to study the improtance of HSFA6b in salt and heat stresses of arabidopsis, we generated the HSFA6b-overexpression (HSFA6b-OE) and dominant-negative (HSFA6b-RD) mutant lines. We used microarray to investigate how genes regulated by HSFA6b after NaCl or heat shock treatment.

Transcription profiling of Arabidopsis dor mutant and wild-type plants in response to drought stress.

(Submitter supplied) ATH1 GeneChip was used for gene expression analysis of wild-type plants and dor mutant under drought treatment (both the wild-type and dor plants were grown under normal watering conditions for 24 days and then stressed by completely depriving of irrigation for 10 days). Two biological repeat experiments were conducted and the raw data was analyzed applying Affymetrix GCOS software. Keywords: both the wild-type and dor plants were grown under normal watering conditions for 24 days and then stressed for 10 days

Identification of drought stress related genes in NatA depleted mutants

(Submitter supplied) N-terminal protein acetylation is one of the most common protein modifications in eucaryotes and is catalyzed co-translationally by N-terminal aceytltransferases (Nats). Regarding the number of predictaed substrates, NatA is the main Nat complex in human and yeast and is composed of the catalytic subunit NAA10 and the auxilliary subunit NAA15. The down-regulation of NAA10 and NAA15 results in Arabidopsis in drought resistant plants. more...
