Identification of mRNAs Regulated in Response to Transcriptional Activation of the Arabidopsis ABA INSENSITIVE GROWTH 1 (ABIG1) Transcription Factor cDNA

(Submitter supplied) Liquid grown, seven day old wild type Arabidopsis seedlings and seedlings carrying a cDNA encoding the ABA INSENSITIVE GROWTH 1 (ABIG1) gene under the control of an estrogen inducible promoter were treated with estrogen for 0, 60 and 120 minutes at which point seedlings were flash frozen and mRNA was extracted.

Transcriptome analysis of p35S:AtBBD1 and atbbd1 (Knock-out) under PEG-induced drought stress condition

(Submitter supplied) We sequenced mRNA of WT, p35S:AtBBD1 (OX) and atbbd1 (KO) plants. Plants were grown in soil for three weeks at 23 ℃ with 60% relative humidity. mRNA was isolated 6 hours after threating with 20% PEG.

Transcription profiling of Arabidopsis dor mutant and wild-type plants in response to drought stress.

(Submitter supplied) ATH1 GeneChip was used for gene expression analysis of wild-type plants and dor mutant under drought treatment (both the wild-type and dor plants were grown under normal watering conditions for 24 days and then stressed by completely depriving of irrigation for 10 days). Two biological repeat experiments were conducted and the raw data was analyzed applying Affymetrix GCOS software. Keywords: both the wild-type and dor plants were grown under normal watering conditions for 24 days and then stressed for 10 days

H3K27 tri-methyltransferases CLF and SWN redundantly buffer ABA-induced senescence

(Submitter supplied) The phytohormone abscisic acid (ABA) induces senescence and facilitates nutrient reuse, which are essential for increasing stress tolerance. Senescence controls plant aging and is closely associated with crop yield and quality. It is a complicated process finely tuned by multiple layers of control. A significant proportion of ABA-responsive genes and cis-elements are targeted by H3K27me3 modification that is mediated by Polycomb group proteins (PcGs); however, the interplay between the major epigenetic machinery and the central stress hormone is poorly understood. more...

Transcriptomic analysis of the voz1 voz2 double mutant

(Submitter supplied) Plants adapt to abiotic and biotic stresses by activating abscisic acid-mediated (ABA) abiotic stress-responsive and salicylic acid-(SA) or jasmonic acid-mediated (JA) biotic stress-responsive pathways, respectively. Although the abiotic stress-responsive pathway interacts antagonistically with the biotic stress-responsive pathways, the mechanisms that regulate these pathways remain largely unknown. more...

Comparative expression analysis of the Arabidopsis strigolactone (SL)-response mutant, max2-3, and wild type (WT) plants (Col-0) under dehydration conditions.

(Submitter supplied) To understand the role of SL-signaling components in water stress response, we have carried out comparative expression analysis of the SL-response max2-3 mutant and WT plants under dehydration and well-watered (control) conditions. Aligent’s whole Arabidopsis Gene Expression Microarray (G2519F-021169, V4, 4x44K) was used.

CDK8 is associated with RAP2.6 and SnRK2.6 and positively modulates abscisic acid signaling and drought response in Arabidopsis

(Submitter supplied) CDK8 is a key subunit of Mediator complex, a large multiprotein complex that is a fundamental part of the conserved eukaryotic transcriptional machinery. However, the biological functions of CDK8 in plant abiotic stress responses remain largely unexplored. Here, we demonstrated CDK8 as a critical regulator in the abscisic acid (ABA) signaling and drought response pathways in Arabidopsis. Compared to wild-type, cdk8 mutants showed reduced sensitivity to ABA, impaired stomatal apertures and hypersensitivity to drought stress. more...

Identification of drought stress related genes in NatA depleted mutants

(Submitter supplied) N-terminal protein acetylation is one of the most common protein modifications in eucaryotes and is catalyzed co-translationally by N-terminal aceytltransferases (Nats). Regarding the number of predictaed substrates, NatA is the main Nat complex in human and yeast and is composed of the catalytic subunit NAA10 and the auxilliary subunit NAA15. The down-regulation of NAA10 and NAA15 results in Arabidopsis in drought resistant plants. more...
