RNA was isolated from E14.5 and E16.5 dorsal cortices with TRIzol reagent (Invitrogen) according to the manufacturer’s instructions.The RNA quality was checked by Bioanalyzer 2200 (Aligent) and kept at -80°C.The RNA with RIN >8.0 is right for cDNA library construction. RNA libraries were prepared for sequencing using standard Illumina protocols

Read mapping statistics were obtained from STAR (v2.5.2b) Fragment assignment statistics obtained from featureCounts in the Subread software packages Differential gene expression analysis was performed through DESeq2 (v1.14.1) Genome_build: mm10 Supplementary_files_format_and_content: The output of featureCounts program reports read counts for each gene in each library in a tab-delimited file;The CSV file reports the Gene ID, Gene Symbol with normalized fragment counts for each sample, normalized sum of fragment counts for each group of samples under comparison and the statistics obtained from DESeq2 for each gene.
