Series GSE68309 Query DataSets for GSE68309
Status Public on Sep 04, 2018
Title Genome-wide gene expression profiles of 14 paired (normal and varicose) vein samples from the patients with varicose vein disease.
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Expression profiling by array
Summary To identify genes whose products are involved in the formation of a pathological phenotype of varicose veins, we attempted to analyze the transcriptome of their constituent cells and compare it to the transcriptome of normal veins from the same patient. We identified a number of genes of extracellular matrix remodeling and cell-cell communication significantly changing gene expression status in disease condition.

Overall design 7 pairs (14) of RNA samples of varicose and normal veins were tested on the gene expression beadchips.
