genomic |
Source name |
DNA extraced from blood
Organism |
Homo sapiens |
Characteristics |
population: Ashkenazi Jew individual id: AP5H1
Extracted molecule |
genomic DNA |
Extraction protocol |
DNA was extraced from blood using theGentra PureGene DNA extraction kit or the Qiagen DNA extraction kit
Label |
biotin
Label protocol |
As per manufacturer (Affymetrix)
Hybridization protocol |
DNA was restriction digested, PCR amplified, fragmented, labeled and hybridized to each array according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Scan protocol |
The Arrays were then washed using Affymetrix fluidics stations, and scanned using the Gene Chip Scanner 3000.
Data processing |
Genotype data was extracted from CEL files using Affymetrix birdseed v2.0. We removed SNPs that failed the Hardy-Weinberg exact test P < 0.000001 and had a call rate <95% across all samples primary data description: Genotype data is in PLINK ped and map formats - GSE23636_AJ_471_732k.ped and GSE23636_AJ_471_732k.map (see readme file for description). The PLINK version: 1.06.
