Title |
Transcriptomic analysis of long wavelength-sensing cones of zebrafish retina |
Organism |
Danio rerio |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
The tandemly duplicated zebrafish lws opsin genes and the human LWS/MWS opsin genes are evolved from a common ancestral long wavelength-sensing opsin gene. This dataset shows that LWS1 vs. LWS2 cone subtypes exhibit transcriptional differences beyond opsin expression.

Overall design |
Comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data for long wavelength-sensing cones and two subtypes. 3 replicates from FACS-sorted lws1 cone photoreceptor samples and 3 replicates of FACS-sorted lws2 cone photoreceptor samples. 3 replicates from FACS-sorted tdTomato+ cone photoreceptor samples and 3 replicates from FACS-sorted tdTomato- retinal cell samples.
