Title Comparison of genes differentially expressed between Medicago R108 and abi3 mutants (NF3185 and NF6003) during different stages of seed development (16, 24, 32 and 40 DAP)
Organism Medicago truncatula
Experiment type Expression profiling by array
Summary ABI3 is a B3-domain transcription factor that acts as a master regulator of seed maturation. To identify genes that are regulated specifically by ABI3 in the model legume Medicago R108 during seed development, using the Medicago NimbleGen chip, a transcriptomic analysis was performed between abi3 mutants (NF3185 and NF6003) and R108 wild-type at 4 stages of seed development.

Overall design Two-condition experiment, mutant versus Wt. Biological replicates: 3 control replicates (Wt), 3 treatment replicates (Homozygous mutants) and 4 stages of seed development for NF6003 mutant. 2 control replicates (Wt), 2 treatment replicates (Homozygous mutants) and 3 stages of seed development for NF3185 mutant. Independently grown and harvested. One replicate per array. Dye swap method.
