Title |
Harvested primary hepatocytes exposed to either normoxia or hypoxia (1% O2) |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by array
|
Summary |
Hepatocytes endogenously express high levels of the enzyme tryptophan dehydrogenase (TDO2), in the current study we explore the effect of reduced oxygen on hepatocyte Tryptophan metabolism
|
|
|
Overall design |
Primary hepatoctes were harvested from 8 to 12 week old wildtype C57BL/6 mice and taken into culture, following which they were either cultured under normoxic (19.5%) or hypoxic (1% O2) conditions for 72 hours before harvest for microarray analysis.
