Summary The density of the extracellular matrix has a dramatic impact on the gene expression profile of T cells and macrophages. This may reflect impaired immune response of T cells and macrophages in solid tumors.
 
Overall design Quantification of RNA expression in human PBMCs enriched for T cells through the selection of non-adhenernt cells and a murine macrophage cell line (RAW 264.7) cultured in different densities of extracellular matrix (Type I collagen). T cells were isolated from PBMCs
