show Abstracthide AbstractWe report gene expression data for yeast strains expressing mutated versions of the transcriptional repressors Yox1 and Yhp1 that can't be phosphorylated by Cdk1. For comparision, gene expression was also measured in cells with deletions in one or both repressors. Genes that are downregulatd in phosphomutant strains and upregulated in deletion strains are likely to be target genes of these transcriptional repressors. Overall design: Gene expression was measured in asynchronous cells expressing Yox1/Yhp1 proteins with mutations in Cdk1 phosphoryation sites (yhp1_13A, yox1_9A and yox1_9A_yhp1_13A), and in strains deleted for one or both proteins (yhp1_del, yox1_del, and yox1_del_yhp1_del). Gene expression was also measured in matched wild type cells (WT) for comparision. Three biological replicates were performed (rep1-rep3). Although the same wild type strain was used for comparison, the WT_A replicates were collected alongside phosphorylation site mutant strains and the WT_B replicates were collected alongside deletion strains.
