flagellar assembly lipoprotein FlgP

FlgP, a lipoprotein localized to the outer membrane, contributes to flagellar assembly, stability, and motility, but appears not to be part of the flagellum itself. It is required to different degrees in different species - essential in Rhodobacter sphaeroides but not in Vibrio cholerae, and essential to functional motility but not assembly in Campylobacter jejuni.
