serine aminopeptidase domain-containing protein

This domain is found in bacteria and eukaryotes and is approximately 110 amino acids in length. It is found in association with Pfam:PF00561. The majority of the members in this family carry the exopeptidase active-site residues of Ser-122, Asp-239 and His-269 as in UniProtKB:Q7ZWC2. (from Pfam)

acetylxylan esterase

This family consists of several bacterial acetyl xylan esterase proteins. Acetyl xylan esterases are enzymes that hydrolyse the ester linkages of the acetyl groups in position 2 and/or 3 of the xylose moieties of natural acetylated xylan from hardwood. These enzymes are one of the accessory enzymes which are part of the xylanolytic system, together with xylanases, beta-xylosidases, alpha-arabinofuranosidases and methylglucuronidases; these are all required for the complete hydrolysis of xylan [1]. [1]. 10878123. The acetyl xylan esterase of Bacillus pumilus belongs to a. family of esterases with broad substrate specificity.. Degrassi G, Kojic M, Ljubijankic G, Venturi V;. Microbiology 2000;146:1585-1591. (from Pfam)

CocE/NonD family hydrolase

CocE/NonD family hydrolase similar to Rhodococcus sp. cocaine esterase that hydrolyzes cocaine to benzoate and ecgonine methyl ester, endowing the bacteria with the ability to utilize cocaine as a sole source of carbon and energy for growth

CocE/NonD family hydrolase

This model represents a protein subfamily that includes the cocaine esterase CocE, several glutaryl-7-ACA acylases, and the putative diester hydrolase NonD of Streptomyces griseus (all hydrolases). This family shows extensive, low-level similarity to a family of xaa-pro dipeptidyl-peptidases, and local similarity by PSI-BLAST to many other hydrolases.
