Rubredoxin binding C-terminal domain
This is the C-terminal domain found in rubredoxin reductase (RdxR) present in Pseudomonas aeruginosa. RdxR are important in prokaryotes as they allow for the metabolism of inert n-alkanes and RdxR is also crucial for archaea and anaerobic bacteria in the response to oxidative stress. This domain is known to recognise and bind to rubredoxin [1]. [1]. 17636129. Crystal structure of the electron transfer complex rubredoxin. rubredoxin reductase of Pseudomonas aeruginosa.. Hagelueken G, Wiehlmann L, Adams TM, Kolmar H, Heinz DW, Tummler. B, Schubert WD;. Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A. 2007;104:12276-12281. (from Pfam)
NAD(P)-binding domain-containing protein
FAD-dependent oxidoreductase
This family includes both class I and class II oxidoreductases and also NADH oxidases and peroxidases. This domain is actually a small NADH binding domain within a larger FAD binding domain. Protein-protein interactions in the pyruvate dehydrogenase. multienzyme complex: dihydrolipoamide dehydrogenase complexed. with the binding domain of dihydrolipoamide acetyltransferase.. NAD-binding protein
NAD(P)/FAD-dependent oxidoreductase
NAD(P)/FAD-dependent oxidoreductase catalyzes the transfer of electrons from one molecule, the electron donor or reductant, to another molecule, the electron acceptor or oxidant; belongs to the pyridine nucleotide-disulfide oxidoreductase superfamily
