FAD-binding oxidoreductase
FAD-binding oxidoreductase catalyzes the oxidation or reduction of a specific substrate using flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) as a cofactor
NAD(P)/FAD-dependent oxidoreductase
NAD(P)/FAD-dependent oxidoreductase catalyzes the transfer of electrons from one molecule, the electron donor or reductant, to another molecule, the electron acceptor or oxidant, similar to Homo sapiens ferroptosis suppressor protein and Saccharomyces cerevisiae apoptosis-inducing factor
Npun_F5749 family FMN-dependent PPOX-type flavoprotein
The PPOX family (see PF01243) contains pyridoxamine 5'-phosphate oxidase and other enzymes of various (mostly unknown) function, most using FMN but some using F420 as a cofactor. The uncharacterized narrow subfamily described here is widespread in Cyanobacteria, and is named for Npun_F5749 from Nostoc punctiforme PCC 73102. Encoding species typically lack the capability to synthesize F420, so most likely all members bind FMN rather than F420. Npun_F5749 has a solved crystal structure (PDB:2I51) with bound FMN. This model has been revised, with a narrower seed and higher cutoffs, and is now equivalog-level. Related plant proteins, now outside the scope of this model, include AT2G46580 from Arabidopsis, shown to have weak pyridoxamine 5'-phosphate oxidase activity.
