Ichthyosis bullosa of Siemens (IBS) is an autosomal dominant congenital bullous ichthyosis without erythroderma. Blistering occurs in response to mild physical trauma and results in superficial erosion ('molting') of the outer skin, particularly on flexures, shins, and the periumbilical region.
