Definition

A primary thymic carcinoid tumor, characterized by a high mitotic rate often associated with the presence of necrosis and nuclear pleomorphism. This type of thymic carcinoid tumor has a more aggressive clinical course, compared to typical thymic carcinoid tumors. [from NCI]
