| Extraction protocol |
Total RNA was extracted from flash-frozen pediatric astrocytoma samples. Total cellular RNA was extracted using Qiagen's RNA isolation kit according to manufacturer's protocol, and genomic DNA contamination was removed by an on-column Dnase digestion step. RNA was quantified using a NanoDrop-1000 spectrophotometer and quality was monitored with the Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer
