This sample was analyzed as part of the Stem Cell Genomics Project (http://www.scgp.ca:8080/StemBase/). The biological material was submitted to the Ontario Genomics Innovation Centre (http://www.ottawagenomecenter.ca/) by Dr. Connie Eaves (ceaves@bccrc.ca; ) for analysis. These cells were derived from freshly dissociated mouse mammary tissue and were analyzed for cell content by in vivo transplantation arrays. The relevance to the stem cell project is that we have also isolated a mammary cell highly enriched in progenitor (CFC's). A comparison of the two population would be helpful in identifying stem cell specific genes. Estimated purity: 1 stem cell in every 50-100 cells RNA concentration: 531 Num cells for RNA prep: 2000-4000 Sample volume: ~20 ul
