Short description: The sample is RNA derived from highly purified mouse mammary colony forming cells (CFC). These cells were derived from freshly dissociated mouse mammary tissue and were analyzed for CFC content by in vitro colony arrays. The relevance to the stem cell project is that we have also purified a mammary cell highly enriched for mammary stem cell. A comparison of mouse mammary progenitor (CFC) and stem cell would be very insightful and useful in identifying stem cell specific genes.
