Extraction protocol Tissues were snap-frozen in liquid nitrogen. RNA was isolated using the RNeasy Plus Mini Kit (Qiagen) according to the manufacturer's protocol. RNA samples were quantified using NanoDrop™ 1000 (Thermo Scientific), and quality-checked by analysis on an Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer (Agilent Technologies).

Data processing The array probe summaries were calculated in BeadStudio and quantile normalized.
