Treatment protocol The female mice (16th day of pregnancy) received an intraperitoneal injection with LPS (150ug/kg) or saline (150ug/kg). For each treatment group, 5 whole brain RNA samples of the male offspring (postnatal 56 days) were prepared.

Extraction protocol Total RNA was isolated using the RNeasy Plus Universal Mini Kit (Qiagen) according to the instruction.
RNA libraries for RNA-seq were prepared using NEBNext UltraTM RNA Library Prep Kit following manufacturer's protocols.

Data processing Quality control was performed by FastQC (v0.11.8) with passing all criteria.
Sequence reads were aligned to mouse genome MM10 (UCSC) using STAR (v2.7.1a) under the default parameters.
Aligned reads were quantified using HTSeq-counts (v0.11.2)
Low and un-expressed genes with < 3 reads in at least 5 samples in a group were omitted from the analysis
Assembly: mm10
Supplementary files format and content: tab-delimited text files include RPKM values for all Samples
