Growth protocol |
The fungal strains were inoculated into liquid or solid 1% glucose minimal medium (GMM) with appropriate supplements and incubated at 37 °C. To collect vegetatively growing cells (Vege), 5×105 conidia/ml were inoculated into 100 ml liquid GMM and incubated for 24 h at 37 °C, 220 rpm in the dark.

Total RNA was isolated using RNeasy Plant Mini Kit (Qiagen) with manufacturer's instructions. A strand-specific library was prepared using an Illumina TruSeq strand-specific RNA sample preparation system.

Data processing |
Mapping of the clean reads to the genome was carried out using Hisat2 version 2.1. Gene expression level was processed using FeatureCounts version 1.5.0. DESeq2 version 1.6.3 was used to determine significantly differentially expressed genes (p-value < 0.05 and more than two-fold changes) Assembly: GCF_000149205.2 Supplementary files format and content: tab-delimited text files include readcount values for each sample
