Organism |
Papio anubis |
Characteristics |
Sex: female age: 19.81 tissue: brain animal id: NLC_BPC_0022
|
Treatment protocol |
Baboons were fed normal monkey chow diet ad libitum and had free access to water. They were provided with veterinary care throughout their lives.
|
Extracted molecule |
total RNA |
Extraction protocol |
Total RNA was extracted from frozen brain tissues using the Direct-zol RNA MiniPrep Plus kits. Stranded RNA-Seq libraries were constructed from total RNA using the KAPA RNA HyperPrep Kit with RiboErase according to the manufacturer's protocol.

Data processing |
Raw sequencing data were de-multiplexed using Illumina bcl2fastq. Prealignment QC was performed, and sequence reads with Phred scores < Q30 were discarded. Sequence reads were aligned against the olive baboon reference genome (Panu_3.0) using STAR 2.5.3.a. Aligned reads were quantified using an expectation-maximization algorithm in Partek Flow and annotated using NCBI annotation (release 93). Transcript counts were normalized by the Trimmed mean of M-values method prior to performing WGCNA. Assembly: Panu_3.0, GCF_000264685.3 Supplementary files format and content: Matrix table of transcript counts before normalization for 34 samples. Supplementary files format and content: Matrix table of transcript counts after normalization for 34 samples.
