U87MG cells are grown in DMEM medium supplemented with 10% FBS and 1% P/S. The cells are split every 3-4 days and change the medium every 2 days.

Cells were harvested after differentiation and total RNA was isolated with RNeasy isolation kit (Qiagen) according to manufacturer’s instructions. On-column DNase treatment was performed to remove genomic DNA contamination (Qiagen). Libraries were prepared according to Illumina's instructions accompanying the RNA Sample Kit.

Illumina software used for basecalling. Sequenced reads were trimmed for adaptor sequence then mapped to human genome using bowtie. Reads counts for all genes. Genome_build: Human genome hg19 (GRCh37) Supplementary_files_format_and_content: Tab-delimited plain text files: the first column is gene IDs and the second column is reads counts.
