Extraction protocol |
Total RNA was extracted from the whole blood in PAXgene tubes. Total RNA quality was assessed and its concentration was measured using the Agilent RNA 6000 series II Nano kit (Agilent Technologies, CA). 250 ng total RNA from each sample was biotinylated and amplified using Illumina® TotalPrep RNA Amplification Kit (Ambion, TX). Total RNA was reverse transcribed to synthesize the first strand of cDNA, followed by a second strand synthesis.
