Human pleural mesothelioma were established from pleural effusions cells cultured in RPMI containing 10% heat-inactivated fetal calf serum, 100U/mL penicillin, 100μg/mL streptomycin and 2mM L-glutamine (all reagents from Gibco-Invitrogen) and cultured at 37°C in a 5% CO2 atmosphere.
