Data processing Sequenced reads were trimmed for adaptor sequence, and masked for low-complexity or low-quality sequence, then mapped to 1104-7 whole genome (GenBank accession no. MVNS00000000) using TopHat v. 2.1.0 with parameters --bowtie1 -p 8 -g 1
A gene expression profile was created using a combination of DESeq2 and edgeR packages.
Genes with a significant P-value (< 0.05) and a greater than threefold change (log2) in transcript level were considered to be differently expressed, and the different expression needs to be supported by both DESeq2 and edgeR. All P-values were corrected for false discoveries resulting from multiple hypothesis testing using the Benjamini-Hochberg procedure.
