Treatment protocol |
Mitral regurgitation was created in Lanyu miniature pigs by a 2.8 mm hole on the middle scallop of the posterior mitral leaflet in the MR and MRV groups. Pigs in the MRV groups additionally received valsartan (3.43 mg/kg/day), a type I angiotensin II receptor blocker, from one week before surgery and then daily after surgery.

Growth protocol |
Pigs in the MR, MRV and NC groups received usual diet and were raised in the cages under the temperature of 20-24 ℃ and humidity of 50-70%.

The CEL files were generated using Microarray Suite version 5.0 (MAS 5.0) using Affymetrix default analysis settings. Signal intensities were derived from CEL files and Signal intensity derived from the CEL files, using RMA method
