Title |
Next-generation RNA Sequencing and Transcriptome Comparison of Mouse Wild Type and Mesenchymal Bmpr1a conditional knockout lungs of E15.5 |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
Lung mesenchymal knockout of Bmpr1a will lead to lung malformation, including impaired lung branching and cystic lesion. In order to understand the underlying mechanisms, total RNA of wild type and mesenchymal Bmpr1a knockout lungs were isolated and sequenced using the next-generation RNA sequencing technique.

Overall design |
BMP receptor 1a (Bmpr1a) flox mice were crossed with Tbx4-rtTA/TetO-Cre transgenic mice and received doxycycline treatment from E6.5 to generate the lung mesenchyme-specific and inducible Bmpr1a conditional knockout (CKO) mice. Lung mRNA profiles of E15.5 fetal wild type and Bmpr1a conditional mice were then generated by deep sequencing, in triplicate.
