Summary |
We report S-phase cancer associated lncRNAs which were identified using nascent RNA capture assay in HeLa cells. Coupling high throughput RNA sequencing with clinical investigation across TCGA datasets we identified a number of lncRNAs that act as prognostic biomarkers for survival in different cancer types

Overall design |
The differential expression levels of S-phase specific lncRNAs across TCGA datasets were assessed. The clinical values of the differentially expressed lncRNAs were predicted using Kaplan-Meir, univariate and multivariate Cox regression analysis. Functional characterization for different lncRNAs was done using knockdown strategies followed by RNA-seq
