Title The effect of epigenetics on diapause of Asian corn borer larvae [WGBS]
Organism Ostrinia furnacalis
Experiment type Methylation profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary H3K9me3 and H3K27me3 were involved in diapause regulation of O. furnacalis larvae

Overall design The newly molted fourth instar larvae were collected and maintained at 20 °C under a photoperiod of 12L: 12D for at least 30 days to achieve diapause (Guo et al, 2013). The newly molted fourth instar larvae maintained for 20 days at a photoperiod of 20 ° C and 12L: 12D were in a pre-diapause state. CHIP-seq was performed on the heads of diapause, pre-diapause and non-diapause Asian corn borer larvae using antibodies H3K9me3 and H3K27me3 .
