Title |
The effect of epigenetics on diapause of Asian corn borer larvae [WGBS] |
Organism |
Ostrinia furnacalis |
Experiment type |
Methylation profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
H3K9me3 and H3K27me3 were involved in diapause regulation of O. furnacalis larvae

|
Overall design |
The newly molted fourth instar larvae were collected and maintained at 20 °C under a photoperiod of 12L: 12D for at least 30 days to achieve diapause (Guo et al, 2013). The newly molted fourth instar larvae maintained for 20 days at a photoperiod of 20 ° C and 12L: 12D were in a pre-diapause state. CHIP-seq was performed on the heads of diapause, pre-diapause and non-diapause Asian corn borer larvae using antibodies H3K9me3 and H3K27me3 .
