Title |
Tumorigenic effects of human mesenchymal stromal cells and fibroblasts on bladder cancer cells |
Organism |
Homo sapiens |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
We sought for deeper understanding of interaction mechanisms between tumor microenvironment cells, like fibroblast (FB) and mesenchymal stem cells (MSC), and bladder cancer cells to develop new cancer treatment approaches overcoming therapy resistance. To this end the bladder cancer cell lines BFTC-905 and VMCUB-1 were treated with conditioned media from FB or MSC for 72h. RNA was submitted to RNA sequencing analysis on the HiSeq 3000/4000 system (Illumina).

Overall design |
total RNA from urothelial carcinoma (UC) cell lines BFTC-905 and VMCUB-1 treated with conditioned media from fibroblasts (FB) or mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) for 72h compared to DMEM treated controls. Triplicates were analysed for each condition.
