Title Transcriptomic data from yeast after heterologous overexpression of human IRAK kinases
Platform organisms Schizosaccharomyces pombe; Saccharomyces cerevisiae
Sample organism Saccharomyces cerevisiae
Experiment type Expression profiling by array
Summary Study of the transcriptional profile of Saccharomyces cerevisiae following overexpression of human IRAK kinases, which are involved in innate immunity signalling, to investigate their phenotypic effects in this eukaryotic model organism.

Overall design The proteins IRAK4, the catalytically inactive version of IRAK4 (named IRAK4(KD)), IRAK1 and IRAK2 were overexpressed from the yeast plasmid pEG(KG). The empty plasmid pEG(KG) was used as a control. Induction of gene expression was performed for 6h by changing the carbon source from raffinose to galactose, as the plasmids are under the control of the GAL1 promoter. The experiment was performed in biological triplicates.
