Title Mediterranean diet and fiber supplementation change the whole blood DNA methylation pattern of NAFLD patients

Summary Genome-wide patterns of DNA methylation were quantified using the Illumina Infinium HumanMethylationEPIC BeadChip in DNA samples extracted from whole blood samples taken from 18 participants with NAFLD.
 
Overall design In this study, we recruited 18 participants with NAFLD. All of them were instructed to change their dietary habits to a Mediterranean diet and to eat high-fiber rolls with no change of physical activity. From all participants we took whole blood samples 3 times: before diet change, 1 month after a diet change, and 2 months after the diet change. DNA methylation analyses were performed on 54 whole blood samples.
