Title Loss of centrosomal gene ALMS1 alters lipid metabolism and the regulation of processes linked to the extracellular matrix.
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary To investigate the alterations that occur in the TGF-B signalling pathway in Alström syndrome, we established by lentiviral transduction with CRISPR an hTERT-BJ-5ta cell line with the ALMS1 gene inhibited.
We then performed gene expression profiling analysis using data obtained from RNA-seq of 2 different cells (WT and KO) after 24h of TGF-β stimulation.

Overall design Comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data for hTERT BJ-5ta cells and its KO derivatives for ALMS1 gene (ALMS1KO) after TGF-β stimulation.
