Title The regulators of peroxisomal acyl-carnitine shuttle CROT and CRAT promote metastasis in melanoma
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary For cancer cells to use the haematogenous route of metastasis overcoming anoikis is a prerequisite. By performing RNAseq in melanoma cells, we discovered that after detachment melanoma cells display increased expression of regulators of fatty acid transport and fatty acid beta-oxidation

Overall design Comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data for adherent and in supension, 501mel and WM266-4 melanoma cell lines, grown with different glucose concentrations.
