Title Comparative gene and lncRNA expression profiling in patients with severe community acquired pneumonia and healthy controls.
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Non-coding RNA profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary Investigate the transcriptomic differences between patient with severe community acquired pneumonia (SCAP) and healthy control.

Overall design Whole blood samples were from patients, diagnosed with SCAP according to the IDSA/ATS2007 guidelines and healthy people. Total RNA was extracted from white blood cells that are isolated from the whole blood. Then, rRNA was removed from total RNA to generate strand-specific libraries. The library were sequenced on a Novaseq 6000 platform and 150 bp strand-specific paired-end reads were generated.
