Title |
Aortic gene expression after acute kidney injury |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by array
|
Summary |
The risk of cardiovascular events rises after acute kidney injury. Leukocytes promote atherosclerotic plaque growth and instability. We here established a model of enhanced remote atherosclerosis after renal ischemia reperfusion injury and investigated the underlying inflammatory mechanisms.
