Summary Apeltes quadracus gene expression differences in developing spines and fins as assessed by allele-specific RNA-seq.
 
Overall design Apeltes quadracus with different HOXDB alleles were crossed to each other to generate F1 hybrids. The spines and fins were individually dissected. RNA was extracted to investigate gene expression differences between the alleles.
