Title Transcriptomic analysis of Caenorhabditis elegans treated with mitochondrial Na+/Ca2+ exchanger inhibitor CGP37157 vs untreated control.
Organism Caenorhabditis elegans
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary We report that CGP37157 improved the evolution with age of the sarcomeric regular structure, delaying development of sarcopenia in C. elegans body wall muscle. Similarly, CGP37157 favoured the maintenance of a regular mitochondrial structure during aging. CGP37157 induced a four-fold increase in the expression of ncx-6, one of the C. elegans mitochondrial Na+/Ca2+ exchangers.

Overall design Examination of 3 replicates of CGP37157 treated C.elegans and 3 replicates of control C.elegans.
