Title |
Molecular roadmap of the healthy stress response in the mouse hippocampus (single-nucleus) |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
The acute stress response mobilizes energy to meet situational demands and re-establish homeostasis. Here, we used a brief forced swim exposure to trigger a strong stress response in mice. Using multiomic profiling we characterize the stress-induced molecular events in the dorsal (dHC) and ventral (vHC) hippocampus over time, across molecular scales, and down to the level of cell types and single cells.

Overall design |
Here, we used a brief (6min) forced swim exposure and profiled the hippocampus using single-nucleus RNA-seq 45min after initiation of the experiment.
