Title Evaluation of tofacitinib in cutaneous sarcoidosis [Olink Explore 1536]
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Other
Summary Sarcoidosis is a multisystem inflammatory disease and no molecularly targeted therapies exist. Here we evaluate the efficacy of tofacitinib (a JAK1/3 inhibitor) in an open-label trial of 10 patients with sarcoidosis and correlate clinical improvement with molecular parameters in blood and skin.

Overall design Blood samples were collected from participants at baseline and again after 6 months of therapy. Samples were compared to 11 healthy, roughly age matched controls. Blood was collected in EDTA-coated tubes and centrifuged; the buffy coat was removed and stored separately from the plasma, which was aliquoted and stored at -80ÂșC. Plasma was analyzed using the Olink Explore 1536 panel.
