Overall design |
Partial hepatectomy (two-third resection) was performed as described in Mitchell and Willenbring (2008). Mice were sacrificed 1 hour, 6 hours, 12 hours, 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, 4 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, and 3 months after surgery. Male C57BL6/N mice (8-12 weeks old) were used. The animals received standard diet ad libitum before and after partial hepatectomy. Reference: Mitchell C, Willenbring H. A reproducible and well-tolerated method for 2/3 partial hepatectomy in mice.
