Summary Differential expression of five S. aureus biofilms versus their planktonic counterparts at 5 h, 10 h, and 24 h.
 
Overall design S. aureus biofilms were formed in TSB using 96-well plates for five S. aureus strains: N315 (USA100), MRSA252 (USA200), LAC (USA300), MW2 (USA400), NRS385 (USA500). Biofilm samples and their planktonic counterparts were collected in biological triplicate at 5 h, 10 h, and 24 h. Each sample was generated by pooling three independent biological replicate RNA preps.
