Title Estrogen-induced cell cycle arrest in patient-derived xenograft (PDX) modal for breast cancer
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary We performed RNA sequencing analysis to see gene expression changes after estrogen treatment for an aromatase inhibitor-resistant PDX model (named GS3).

Overall design Following the treatments that lasted 5 days/10 days/53 days of estradiol (E2) (1mg) or placebo, GS3-PDX tumors were harvested and total RNA was extracted. Each treatment group included two samples.

A second set of samples included the following treatments: placebo, 4 weeks of estradiol (E2) (1 mg), progesterone (10 mg), both estradiol and progesterone and an interval treatement composed of 28 days of E2 (1mg) following by 28 days no treatment followed by another 28 days of E2 (1mg), repeated 3 times.
