Title Global transcriptional response to electron acceptors AKB and pyruvate in K562 cells
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary We report the effects of two metabolites alpha-ketobutyrate and pyruvate on transcription of K562 cells. Increased cell size associates with electron acceptor limitation. Using four replicates per condition, we find that electron acceptors alleviate endoplasmic reticulum stress response in these cells as evidenced by reduction of amino acid transporter as well as ATF4 and CHOP expression.

Overall design mRNA proflies of K562 cells treated with alpha-ketobutyrate, pyruvate compared to untreated control cells
