Title |
Targeted next generation sequencing of transcriptomes from human treatment-naïve patient-derived prostate tissues, organoids, and organoid-derived cells (unaffected and tumor counterparts) |
Organism |
Homo sapiens |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
Human prostate mRNA profiles of organoids, cells, and tissues were generated by targeted next generation sequencing from three patients using Illumina® TruSeq Stranded mRNA prep kit.

Overall design |
Purpose: To examine the genome-wide expressions using targeted next generation sequencing (NGS) in novel patient-derived organoids and organoid-derived cells versus their corresponding human tissue specimens and whole-transcriptome sequencing on a number of prostate cancer patients. We aim to compare the novel patient-derived organoids and organoid-derived cells with their corresponding tissues (unaffected and tumor parts) to demonstrate the faithfulness of this model. In addition, we aim to explore the genomic profiles that exemplify the molecular landscape of Lebanese prostate cancer patients and identify lead targets that could be implemented for personalized treatments of this disease.
