Title RNA-Seq from CA1 pyramidal neurons
Organism Mus musculus
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary RNA-Seq from CA1 pyramidal neurons purified by FACS from 4-week-old mice.

Overall design CA1 pyramidal neurons were labeled with TdTomato by crossing Camk2a-Cre (B6.Cg-Tg(Camk2a-cre)T29-1Stl/J) and Ai14 (B6.Cg-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm14(CAG-tdTomato)Hze/J mice). The Ai14 reporter line expresses robust tdTomato fluorescence following Cre-mediated recombination. Hippocampi were dissociated from postnatal day 28-32 male Camk2a-Cre +/-, Ai14 +/- mice and TdTomato positive cells isolated by FACS. 3 biological replicates were performed each with cells from 2-4 mice. RNA was extracted from the purified CA1 pyramidal neurons and subjected to RNA-Seq.
