Title |
Comparison of cortisol metrics and total RNA profiles from Healthy Individuals |
Organism |
Homo sapiens |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
The study seeks to identify transcripts whose expression levels are significantly correlated with bedtime and awakening cortisol levels in healthy individuals.
|
|
|
Overall design |
Expression levels of transcripts were determined by RNA-Seq from total RNA extracted from blood following 30 consecutive days of bedtime and awakening saliva sampling. Bedtime and awakening cortisol levels from the saliva samples were determined by radioimmunoassay. Both cortisol and transcript levels were compared by linear regression.
